Derek Webb sings a song called "Wedding Dress" in which he communicates some offensive truth.  We are too easily satisfied with so much less than we are offered in the gospel.  Our unbelief drives us away from the true Lover of our souls to competing lovers less wild!    

But Jesus is jealous for you!  He is not interested in simply dating you.  He will not carry on a casual relationship.  Because Jesus wants all of you, He will not share you with another.  Oh, and rest assured that He will not lose to any rival.  

I find that song a call to repent for our own lack of desire for God by directing our attention to His desire for us!  May that covenant love, that relentless and grace-filled kindness break our hard hearts and call us back to His arms alone.
